"Intriguing, playful, coy, and uncompromising, each song is its own mini pop opera; each tune different from the other, yet they work as a cohesive whole due to Caroline in the Garden’s vision and confidence. What an unexpected treat!" - Creative Loafing, April 23, 2026
"Her music is both groundbreaking and familiar at the same time, and that is a rare combo these days. Her vocals are warm, her lyrics expressive, and her message is incredible.” - Chattanooga Pulse, April 1, 2026.
"In her ten track debut album, Caroline offers something truly special: an escape into a whimsical wonderland that leaves you real life confidence and inspiration." - Why Are You So Quiet, March 26, 2026
I wrote this album during a period in my life when I was finally choosing to prioritize and embrace myself as an artist. It is about flinging yourself off of the conveyor belt of societal expectation. Soundwise, I’m heavily influenced by the distinguished piano motifs of Tori Amos, the irreverence of Fiona Apple, and the exquisite way Kate Bush envelops and accents her piano with unexpected synth lines.
I call it unhinged art pop.
